My 40+
years of experience in the computer-related disciplines,
coupled with a PhD in education, allows me to gain
insight into both the educational and occupational needs
of the students. I utilize my expertise to develop and
mentor courses which lead the students through the
required elements of the network and Internetwork
arenas.
My avocations typically involve anything that is Harley
Davidson including trips to Sturgis and riding every
time I get the chance. In addition, I build my own
street rods and muscle cars and have competed at the
national level in car and boat shows. I have also built
several white water boats and raced flat bottom drag
boats in my distant past. I enjoy home renovation and
have just completed a remodel of our home.
My passions include my wife, Anita, my dog, Snickers, my
family, and my life as an educator. My background
includes service with the U.S. Navy, three tours in
Vietnam, and many hours of flight as an aircrewman. I
have traveled extensively and have a sense for the
global nature of our discipline. I have researched and
written on the subject of women in the technology trades
and find great satisfaction in acquiring knowledge which
assists our students in attaining their educational
goals.
