This course presents an
overview of the Windows Server 2003. Windows Server 2003 is a multipurpose
operating system with integrated support for client/server, and peer-to-peer
networks. It incorporates technologies that reduce the total cost of ownership
(TCO) and provides for scalability from a small network to a large enterprise
network. Students will be required to install, upgrade, and troubleshoot
Windows Server 2003 operating system. In addition, use of Windows Control
Panel, Management Console & Task Scheduler, use of the Registry, disk management
and network protocols will be emphasized. Active Directory Services in
professional environments will be presented. Management of users, printers,
local security, and remote access will be required. Network interoperability
will be an integral part of this course.
